Beware of Fraudulent Pastors, Alfas, Babaalawo, Spiritual hears, and Text Messages

Beware!!! This is my own personal experience from fraudsters.

Experience one

I was driving home one evening and stopped at a cosmetic shop to buy eye-shadow glitters. When I was done with the purchase I went back to my car and was about to drive off when a young man came to the side of my car and said; I should please pray very well, certain people are against my progress (obvious African problem), a lady at my husband's office is about to snatch him from me, I should have been super-rich at 25years (obvious normal age to attain wealth if you are not unfortunate and stuck in spiritually centered country like Nigeria and from a polygamous home).

He went on and on, he actually said so many things that were true about me, some were not so on point and more like guesses. I decided to take him on and gave him my regular phone number.

He called me later that night and asked me to talk to a "Shehu", I did talk to the man and that one was emphasizing on me keeping my affairs secret. He prayed in the Muslim way and I replied Amen. He quoted the Holy Quarantine and even told me the story of how Saran was deported from heaven in the Muslim context.

To cut the long story short, after 3 days, the demand came.

For obvious reasons they did not demand money from me directly. He started by saying it is my time now for blessings and all. He played the mind game of asking me to pick a number in my mind and after a while, he was able to tell the number I picked.

He then asked me to get the highest currency notes of every country I had been to. I told him I can't because  US dollars is now expensive in Nigeria and as a matter of fact all currencies are expensive. .....,lol

Then he asked me to get dollars in the amount I can use to start a business in my line of work. I told him I only know about oil and gas and to do that I need hundreds of thousands of US dollars (sure he must have been happy). So he asked me to get only US dollars worth N2,000,000(two million Naira). What a thief!

I told him I don't have the money and I am even very broke. He said I could borrow it or sell anything of value to get it...,lol( guess he thought I was that greedy or his jazz was talking). He said he would help me bless the money and after 7 days the money will be tripled(I laughed so hard). I said ok I would get the money. Sure he must have been celebrating, because he kept calling to pray for me and asking how far, all in one week o.

One night he called me at 11:35pm just as I was dreaming, to tell me how his day went and how we needed to be close. At this point, I thought my set-up game to catch a fraudster was going beyond my bargain. So, I had to remind him that I was married and all. Of course, he quickly said he didn't mean that(big lie). All the while I had used true caller to get his identity and contacted some network friends too. So I just told the fake religious leader his game was up and he hasn't called me back since then.

I woke up to the scammers text message which was sent 6 times this early Monday morning and I replied to it accordingly too.

Jobless people waiting for magic money through fraud.🙄
If I was a greedy fellow and maybe one that would die looking to find her husband cheating, I would have fallen a victim of fraud.... Let us all be careful and trust God.
