Body of late Ooni of Ife undergoes rituals according to traditional rites

To be king no easy o, especially in Nigeria.
Will a dead body of England queen undergo any traditional ritual? Hmmmm, our culture, our heritage.

Members of a fraternity on Thursday entered into Oduduwa shrine and other sacred forests to perform further rites of passage for the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade.

A source at Ile-ife also noted that all the heads of the fraternities in the land which the monarch belonged to had been communicated with to start invoking their different deities and do what is expected of them on the monarch’s issue.
The source hinted that at shrines and forests of the deities, the traditionalists had been assigned on the type of job to do in relation to the sacrifices that will be suitable for the transition of Sijuade.
Sources at the palace who listed some of the deity headships that have been given one assignment or the other as Osogun, Obalara and Lana. Emese said they are all operating under “Isoro” deity which is the father of all deities in the land.
