Great FedGoCol!!! If you went to a Federal Government College, raise your hands ππππup and wave it like you just don't care. #ProUnitate.
I specially did this post of YAM and BEANS PORRIDGE with CORRECT DELTA SMOKED FISH to celebrate my Almamatar; Federal Government College, Warri. πππWe turned 50 yesterday.
FGC Warri is/was one of the "baddest" FGCs. πππ Mehn! Dem dey fear us naaa. Waffiiiiiiii. We always dey get our special doings. Nobody messed with us at the all FEDGOCOL Games.
At FGC Warri the school cooks wanted to kill us with Yam and beans porridge it was always on the menu but it looked nothing like this picture o! π¨ It was water-water yam porridge and you could count the seeds of beans. Sometimes we saw vegetables in it and rumour had it that it was pawpaw leaves.
Without our homemade "Spice", a blend of dried pepper, crayfish et al, you could never eat that porridge...unless dem wrap your tongue with polythene bag and you don't taste it at all...You chew and flip it to the back of your throat, then swallow. Those school cooks were mean mehn! They would cook soup and water it down with buckets of water. Hian.
I remember when Senior Ike Mordi asked me to clean the entire louvres in the dinning hall with news papers and kerosine for refusing to mention the names of the people making noise at my table. Senior Ike Mordi. I have not forgiven you o! Those who know him should tell him that I have not forgotten o! It took me almost a week to clean the entire dinning hall louvres.
On the brighter side, It was amazing to meet my old classmate Ugoojo Onu yesterday after 20 years of leaving school. What a way to celebrate our school's 50th Anniversary.
Class of 96; Chidi Okonkwo, Tunde Olagbemi, Osan Rewane, Awani Onuwaje, Agbonta Longe, Jebose Ebohan, Omosegho Itama, Joy Opute, Agharese Onaghise, Omamoke Okiomah, Taiwo Abude, Chetanna Onyeayana, Nneka Ikeme, Chinyere Okoro, Nkechi Obi, Caroline Okeh, Itobore Oshobe, Silvia Osayi , Victor Eruotor and others who I cannot remember.
