I just like reading about and listening to what Governor Babatunde Fashola has to say. Don't get me wrong, I am not a member of APC political party. I just have the idea that he is an intelligent and truthful speaker.
I never doubted his Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Title. He has spoken again, this time he is rebuking federal government for misleading Foreign investors about the current security and economic situation of Nigeria.
Lacos State Governor
According to Thisday News report, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Wednesday said the federal government was misleading Nigerians and foreign investors on the true state of the country’s economy and internal security.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Cooperative Home Ownership Incentive Scheme (CHOIS) city at Agbowa, Ikosi-Ejirin and the first solar-powered primary healthcare (PHC) centre in Epe, Fashola lamented that all the central government informed the citizens and foreign investors about the country especially on insecurity and rebasing of the country’s economy were untrue.
The governor said the federal government “is ignorant and later lied to Nigerians. This is an indication that they do not know what to do on the challenges confronting this country, especially on insecurity.
“On insecurity confronting our country, first the federal government lied that their political opponent were the cause of insecurity. Later, they lied that it was people in its Federal Executive Council.
“After that, they told Nigerians that those behind the insecurity in Nigeria were foreigners. Again, in their usual tactics, they said some saboteurs who were behind the insecurity in the country.”
He explained that the current administration was clueless, noting that the Vice-President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, made a wrong statement that people are leaving Lagos due to the high tax regime.
“I do not think Sambo moved around the state to see how the population of the Lagos was increasing daily. Also, they said that we were selling properties to residents of Lagos at over N100 million. They are ignorant. And they have shown it publicly.”
He said the state government designed the Lagos HOMS “to address shortage of housing in the state which was increasing daily. The challenge before the state government was to provide affordable housing for residents of the state.”
Fashola, however, appealed to the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) to sheath their swords and return to work, noting that he made the plea in the interest of the masses who rely on the judiciary for fair judgment.
The President of Lagos CHOIS, Brigadier-General Tunde Reis (rtd), said the city was a sub-urban community that would provide opportunity for low and medium income earners to have their own houses. Reis explained that the City will provide houses for 10, 000 families in the state.

I'm getting less concern about Nigerias politics. most speaks the truth but less do it. Until security and electricity is tackled first hands most of it citizens are going out and staying out.
